GIZMO is a consumer product brand based in the Netherlands. We sell the GIZMO Litter Box and related accessories directly to consumers. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data when you use our website or purchase from us. We are committed to full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Data We Collect
When you place an order, we collect: name, email address, shipping and billing address, payment information (processed securely by Shopify Payments — we never see your full card details), and order history. If you contact us, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to process and fulfill your orders, send order confirmations and shipping updates, respond to customer service enquiries, improve our website and product experience, and — only with your explicit consent — send you marketing communications.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data under the following legal bases: Contract — processing is necessary to fulfill your order. Legitimate interests — to improve our services and prevent fraud. Consent — for marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time.
5. Data Retention
We retain order data for 7 years to comply with Dutch tax law. Customer support communications are retained for 2 years. If you request deletion, we will remove all data not required by law within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion ('right to be forgotten'), restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. 8. Third-Party Services
We use Shopify to power our online store (data processed under Shopify's Data Processing Agreement). We use analytics tools to understand site performance. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Payment processing is PCI-DSS compliant via Shopify Payments. Access to customer data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
